Top 11 MAC Bridal Lipsticks

1. Best Overall: MAC Satin Lipstick in Twig

MAC lipstick in twig

MAC Satin Lipstick in Twig is the best overall MAC Bridal Lipstick, in a soft-muted brownish-pink satin color.

This gorgeous shade is perfect if you don’t want a very bold lip color, and it complements all types of complexion. Not surprisingly this creamy soft-feel lipstick is a best-seller amongst MAC bridal go-to’s.

2. Best Red Lipstick: MAC Lady Danger

MAC lady danger

Lady Danger is my favorite red lipstick from MAC. It’s an orange-red lipstick that goes well with most skin tones, but especially if you have a cool undertone in your skin.

I wear it when I want a bright, bold lipstick, and it looks great in both winter and summer. I use Lady Danger when my friend wants a red lipstick, but not a red with a blue undertone like Ruby Woo. Lady Danger is matte and lasts a long time. It applies perfectly right out of the bottle.

But I use a brush when I apply lipstick on my friends. A good lip liner to pair with this product is Redd or Lasting Sensation.

3. Best Light Shade: MAC Peach Blossom

MAC peach blossom lipstick

MAC Peach Blossom is a great moisturizing lipstick in a light peachy nude that goes with all skin tones, and I’ve used it on several brides. Especially on brides who want a light coral shade on their lips without it looking overdone.

I like to pair Peach Blossom with MAC’s Boldly Bare Lipliner for a more natural look. Or with the Lasting Sensation Lip Liner for a peachy look.

4. Best Pink Shade: Kinda Sexy

MAC kinda sexy lipstick

Kinda sexy is a great color for bridal makeup and yes, this one is a sexy pink shade. It’s a matte lipstick that is creamy but doesn’t dry out the lips. This is a nude shade with a warm, almost peach undertone and on the brown side, so it’s great if you don’t want to wear too much eye makeup but want to add a little more color to the whole look.

For a nude brown shade and more definition, I use Oak Lip Liner or for a nude lip, I use Stripdown by MAC. I personally use Kinda Sexy when I go out for the evening with a brown smokey eye and want color on my lips without them looking dull.

5. Best Nude Lipstick: Hug Me

MAC hug me nude lipsticks

Hug Me has been part of my bridal makeup kit for years and is still a classic from MAC. It goes with many different skin tones and makeup styles. For any brides who wear lipstick but don’t want to look like they’re wearing lipstick, this is the perfect shade for you.

It has a creamy, moisturizing texture and a great color payoff. I usually use the Boldly Bare or Stripdown liner to highlight the caramel brown shades of Hug Me. If you want a pinkish-brown lipstick, this is the perfect shade for you.

6. Angel

Angel is a classic lip color for bridal makeup that I’ve been using on my clients for years. It’s pink, but not baby pink. So it’s perfect if you want a pink, but a neutral pink that won’t distract from the rest of your bridal makeup. For brides who have never tried a pink lipstick before, I recommend giving this color a try – they love it every time!

The texture is creamy and moisturizing without being too matte. But it’s still opaque. I don’t use a lip liner with this product because I prefer the color alone. It has a slight pearlescent sheen to it, but not the 80s. It works very well with a small amount of clear lip gloss over it.

7. Cherish

Cherish was one of the first lipsticks I bought from MAC. The color is very versatile and can be mixed with different liners to create your own lipstick shade. Cherish is a soft, peachy beige and can be worn alone if you’re looking for the perfect nude.

It has a creamy, satin finish without being too matte or too shiny. The striped lip liner is a great match for Cherish. Many of my brides who have gone for smokey eyes have chosen Cherish as their lipstick for their wedding day.

8. See Sheer

See Sheer is the perfect coral lipstick that, as the name suggests, is more of a sheer lipstick. With a lovely creamy, balmy feel on the lips, it’s perfect for any brides looking for a peachy coral lipstick with a hint of color.

I like to apply a long-wearing lip liner to the lips to make the lipstick last longer.

9. Honey Love

Honey Love is one of my favorite lip colors in general. It has a nice matte pink undertone without being too overbearing. It’s a lighter pink than Kinda Sexy. I have used Honey Love on my lighter brides and also on brides with a more golden, medium skin tone.

10. Runway Hit

Runway Hit lipstick has a matte coral-red color and great coverage. I wear it when I want to wear a lipstick that is more than a nude, but not too bright. It’s a matte coral red without being too orange or too pink.

It looks great on all skin tones, on lighter skin tones it looks like a light pink coral red, on medium to dark skin tones it can look pretty nude without being too muddy or brown. I love the Boldly Bare lip liner. I opt for Runway Hit for all brides who aren’t afraid of color or want to look like they’re wearing lipstick.

11. Mocha

MAC’s Mocha is a creamy formula and feels soft and cozy. It is a warm, opaque brown and ideal for brides who want a nude or a brown with a warm undertone. It is especially suitable for medium to dark skin tones. The Whirl Lip Liner works well, and to highlight the orange undertone, the Auburn is perfect.

Final Thoughts

There you have it! MAC Satin Lipstick in Twig is the best overall MAC bridal Lipstick, due to its gorgeous shade that works on every skin tone and a creamy soft feel.

If you want a bold red lipstick, Lady Danger is the best red MAC wedding lipstick for the money.
